We have been notified that Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 jobs could give an error message during processing a mailbox which leads to an error.
We see the following error message being returned:
Exchange Backup Fails With: "There is an error in XML document"
Veeam observed that there have been changes to the structure of the XML message received from M365. Veeam released a hotfix (https://www.veeam.com/kb4527) to alter the logic of Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 to enable it to parse this XML change.
While the maintenance the service is temporarily unavailable to execute new jobs and process restores.
