Starting Wednesday, 26 November 2025 at 09:00 CET, we will perform scheduled maintenance on the NSX Edge firewalling environment in our AMS1 and AMS5 datacenters.
This activity is part of our preparations for the migration to the new NSX environment and will continue through Thursday, 4 December 2025, during the day (08:00–23:59 CET).
Maintenance activities
1. Update firewall rule groups
Certain firewall rules currently use group objects that are no longer compatible. These will be updated by replacing the group objects with their corresponding IP addresses to ensure a smooth migration process.
2. Disable legacy NSX log forwarding
The existing NSX syslog (log forwarding) configuration will be disabled to prevent duplicate logging and potential conflicts once the new NSX environment becomes active.
3. Clean up outdated configuration references
We will review and update firewall rules referencing internal NSX interfaces that are no longer in use within the new NSX setup.
Customer impact
Your workloads will remain online; no service interruptions are expected.
Log forwarding from NSX to external syslog systems will stop once it is disabled.
